Adding subscriber via API code does not record IP

Hi again!

I’m not sure if this is by design, but when I use the API code
TNP::subscribe(['email'=>'[email protected]']);
(which now works, thanks!)
it does not record the IP address of the subscriber. I’ve checked in the database, and that field is empty. For better proof of consent, that would be a necessity. Is it possible?

EDIT: I’d like to add that in the settings, I’ve set the “IP addresses” setting to: Store.
