Adding summary of a post on sidebar

  • I’m trying to design something along the lines of this – https://www.thedailybeast.com/ . If you take a look at the ‘Cheat Sheet’, this pulls information from a another page, but summerises the content. I would like to keep this feature separate from other normal posts which will be updated on a daily basis.

    I have no idea how to create this. Any help is much appreciated.

    My skills in PHP/HTML/MySQL are intermmediate.
