Adding templates to Mintozine theme

  • I am using the Mintozine theme, but have made several alterations. I’m now trying to use multiple custom templates for my pages. The templates display in the page sidebar drop-down and I’m able to select, but no matter what I select, page.php is rendered.

    Is Mintozine an encrypted theme, and that’s the issue?

    Is there somewhere that I need to “register” the function of using multiple themes?

    I’m stumped! Any suggestions welcome.

  • There are thousands of WordPress themes – which means that many people won’t be familiar with your particular theme.

    @esmi – To make it more general, I have added custom themes and the Dashboard shows they are selected, but they do not display accordingly in the live site.

    This wordpress.com forum post is the same problem I am experiencing. However because that OP was on the wrong forum, his question wasn’t answered. Does anyone know the solution?

    My searching showed that some themes are “encrypted” so I was wondering if that is my problem here.

    I have no idea whether Mintozine an encrypted theme but if you switch to the default theme and everything then works, it’s a pretty safe bet to assume that something is seriously wrong with your version.
