• Hey guys,

I’d like to add text to the header image at the home page (just our tag line). I am using the Astrid theme (Athemes) and I’m having trouble.

There is a header text option built into the theme, but the positioning is not ideal. I was able to edit the CSS with my child theme to change the position and font size, but the only problem left is that the container size is too wide. I’d like to narrow it, so it is not covering her face and exists only in the grey space.

I was able to do this with CSS also, but the problem is that it also shifted the top menu bar and other aspects of my page, and obviously that won’t work.

I’m wondering if anyone has advice and if it’s better to try and edit the style sheet still, somehow isolating the text container or I should somehow bypass the theme header text and code my own?

    Thanks so much!
