Hi, SLB works with image links, so you’ll need to add a link to the image that you want to be displayed in the lightbox.

Totally baffled on how to use this thing.

Ever think of creating a user’s guide?

    Image links??

Image link = a link to an image.

Simple Lightbox works in tandem with WordPress’ built-in features.

Here is the official documentation on inserting images into posts and pages in WordPress. Once you have a link to an image in your post, Simple Lightbox (if activated and enabled) will take it from there and display the linked image in a lightbox.

I have the same question. I know how to insert images into posts and pages in wordpress, as I have used wordpress for some time. But it is nothing to do with lightbox. How can I display my images in lightbox?

When I insert the images, I can just see the images, but there is no LIGHTBOX at all.

Can you just add a few snapshots to explain more?

    Thanks a lot.

I have figured it out by myself. My website is https://www.junphotostudio.com

I am currently using Oqey gallery, but it will turn into simple lightbox in days. I like your plugin, thank you very much!

I was having trouble also, so I just want to explain it to anyone that is confused.

When you are adding Media, you have different options such as alignment, size, caption, etc. Also on there is a line that says Link URL. If this is blank just click on current link or link to image, I cannot remember which… and that is it.

Now the image will work with the lightbox effect.

A little confusing at first, but once you get it, it is very simple and easy to use.

hawbsl, here is a screen shot of a page with the image attachment details.

To get to this page, I went to the page where I wanted the lightbox.
    Then click on Upload media.

Notice the attachment display settings on the side of the page.

    Hope that helps!

Thanks Crusso14, turns out my problem was with WAMP and php_curl and not related to this thread … I tried to delete my post here but I can’t figure out how to delete my posts.

I tried to make amends to the community (and any future strugglers) by posting a separate post about looking out for WAMP/php_curl.

    Thanks anyway
