Adding the shortcode on a hyperlink

I have a image that when i click opens a pop up box using Anything Pop Up.
So how can i use the shortcode provided by this plugin on the hyperlink of that image.The shortcode works perfectly fine elsewhere but i want to use it on the hyperlink of image so when a user clicks the image the pop up opens.
