Do you plan to create a plugin to create a ticket using Contact Form 7?
One of the most used forms..

Check out this plugin that easily connects any CF7 form to your Mailchimp database / list

    Contact Form 7 MailChimp Extension

Could be a good idea ??

    Hi:

If the plugin has the ability to send an email and to set the email so that it is “sent” from the user who submitted the form then here’s a way to create a ticket from it: https://getawesomesupport.com/setup-contact-form-creates-new-ticket/

The example uses Gravity forms but it might work with Contact Form 7.

Not sure where Mailchimp fits into your question though.

    I hope this helps.

    OK.. If I read correct:
The trick to getting this to work is to make sure that you configure a FIELD in gravity forms that uses the user email address as the “from” address and sending the form contents to the inbox of the Awesome Support e-mail add-on.

This can be done in Contact form 7 as well.
    I will test it

Forms submitted through Contact form 7 are send to the dedicted email address.
From there they are picked up by the email Support add on ??
    The land in “unassigned”

But I am having some trouble with assigning them as a ticket.
I get errors saying I am not allowed to edit..???

In the latest version of the email addon, there are options that control what happens to unrecognized email addresses. You want to allow unrecognized users to automatically have accounts created. Go To TICKETS->EMAIL PIPING and look for the “unassigned email handling” option. Check the option for “Create new ticket and new user”.

Alternatively, you could try submitting your form using an email address of a user that already exists in the WordPress site and check the option for “Create new ticket if email address matches existing user”.

Yep, found it… And it works!
As a result I had to install an extra plugin “manage-notification-emails” to block all kind of emails being send to a user that creates a ticket through a form..

    so far so good.
