Adding upvotes/thumbs-up anywhere on page or post

An innovation-based website that I maintain has a page with a list of project ideas. I want to place a thumbs-up button beside each idea in the list to allow page visitors to upvote their favorite ideas. I know of plenty of plugins like WP Like Post that provide a thumbs-up feature for posts, but this is not what I want. Basically, I’m looking for a shortcode for a Facebook-style like button that I could paste anywhere in the page. Any advice would be much appreciated!
