Adding users to Mailchimp list with AutomateWoo

Hi, I’ve set up some workflows in AutomateWoo to add users and update tags to a Mailchimp list depending on subscription statuses. One workflow triggers when subscription status changes to active and have to actions –?add user to a list and update contact tags. I’m getting errors when the workflow runs, “Update Contact Tags: Failed because contact is not subscribed to the list.” I thought that adding the user to the list would solve this. Are you not able to update tags on contacts that are not subscribers?
