    Hello toonbon,

It would be difficult to provide any details without knowing more about how people buy from your website. Are you using any e-commerce plugin like “WooCommerce” to allow users to buy or do you have any custom script?

Our plugin offers checkbox integration into 3rd party forms as well as you can add hidden fields in custom forms to send user data to a specific MailChimp.com List of your choice.

‘Sorry for not including more detail. Yes, I’m using WooCommerce.

After thinking more about this, though, it seems like what I want to do – add people who buy something automatically to a MailChimp list – is not really permitted. You need people’s permission to add them to a list and just buying something doesn’t give that permission. It seems that what I need to do is put one of the MailChimp forms on the site where people specifically ask to be put on my mailing list.

    Hey toonbon,

We actually do provide multiple ways to achieve what you’re looking for, whichever way you intend to go.

As Harish said, we offer an integration for WooCommere. When WooCommerce and MailChimp for WordPress are active, you can go to MailChimp for WP > Checkboxes and select which form your users should be subscribed to, and check the checkbox that adds a signup possibility to your Woo checkout page. This gives you the opportunity to collect subscribers during checkout.

Another way would be to use our (free) add-on called User Sync. It would auto-sync people with a certain role to your MailChimp list, but from your last reply I don’t think that would be your best option. I thought I should mention it though, just to give you all the possible options.

If you need us for anything, just let us know!
