Adding video to home page

  • The sales page for the Make theme says:

    “Next, add and organize your content using the drag and drop page builder. Add a photo, a video, a gallery, or even a slider to any page on your website.”

    But I can’t find a way to add a video to a page. Can you point me in the right direction? Thank you.

    You can embed a video by pasting the link to the video directly into the editor of a Columns section. The same way any other WordPress embed works. ?? Here’s a link to the documentation on embeds in the codex.

    Thanks for the fast response, Melissa.

    I was looking for a way to use a video from my media library as the background, but the builder wasn’t displaying it when I chose a video instead of an image because I was mistakenly using a slider.

    Now I’m trying to use the bgvideo plugin, but it sets the video’s z-index to -1, and the page divs completely cover the video if it’s smaller than 0. I’ll keep investigating.
