Adding Video to post/page

    Hi everyone.

    I just installed WordPress.

    The site will consist mostly of Art videos and art audio files.
    And after uploading a test video in Media Library. I just cant figure out how to have the video displayed in the post/page!
    I can onely get it to post a link (title) that will take the visitor to a page displaying nothing but the video. But i need it to be viewable on the posted page/post itself..
    Is that not possible to do without writing the html(gues it can be done typing the code yourself) But I need total internet newbies to be able to do this..

    (Im not talking about youtube videos. We will only be posting copyright materials)
    (Searched the forum but couldn’t find anything!)

    Any help will be much appriciated ??

    Which format will the videos have? Take a look at the Flash Video Player Plugin over here mac-dev.net. The code in your posts will look like this: [flashvideo file=PathToFile /] If this is even to much code, you’ll probably have to provide a custom write panel with an extra field for uploading your video files and you’ll be able to insert those videos directly in your template by using the custom fields functionallity wordpress provides. Take a look at this tutorial about how to create custom write panels @ wefunction.com and using custom fields in wordpress codex. You might also be interested in the Flutter-Plugin.

    @iridiax, I think Listic wants the videos to be uploaded locally on his server by using the wordpress backend. Otherwise the viper plugin u suggested would be the right choice!

    I dont know what format the vids will have yet. Guess the will differ from time to time.

    Tried installing the Flutter Plugin yesterday. It really looks amazing!! But unfortunatly the site is hosted by a Danish host, who is extremely horrible!

    I cant change the to folowing folders to writable (777).
    They tell me that they dont think the can help me out with that!!

    \wp-content\plugins\fresh-page\cache\

    Ohh now I see. If I hid the “show/hide Kitchen sink” one can “insert/edit embedded media”. Thats all I need ??

    Only thing: Just inserted a mp4. And I cant change the size of it, it seems.. Can make it smaller (like cutting away some if the video, showing only half of the vid..) Is there anyway around this? I would like to make the mp4 bigger for viewing..?
