Adding widgets

I hope this question is not theme specific. If so, I am in the wrong forum, sorry.

I want to add a modifiable contact box to the right sidebar [I am using the theme Expressions, hoping that doesn’t matter]. The widgets that show as available do not have a contact form. Can I add more widgets to the available group? [OK, I am a near-newbie at WP, so I may be asking a dumb question].
I also need to add some page links to the sidebar. Can someone tell me how to do that?
I really appreciate any help I can get. At times, I feel like a flounder in the bottom of the boat – please someone put me out of my misery!
