    Hi,

I’m a wordpress neophyte and have tried a number of different ways I found online to add a section at the top of my website https://proteus-commodities.com where I can place widgets. I am using a twenty-eleven child theme.

None of these methods has worked so far, so I was hoping someone would be able to walk me through the process, step-by-step. (Probably with properly creating function.php and header.php files). The end goal is to place the Transposh translation widget near the top of each page.

  • Hello Chums,

I too am trying to add a wee widgety area to my header in Twenty Eleven.

I have followed the steps outlines, but I am getting the following grumble from the gremlins…

Warning: call_user_func_array() [function.call-user-func-array]: First argument is expected to be a valid callback, ‘follow_widgets_init’ was given in /usr/local/psa/home/vhosts/wilddogworld.com/subdomains/wordpress/httpdocs/wp-includes/plugin.php on line 406

Any idea what I have messed up?

    Thanks for any help.

    Oooh…

    I think I fixed it…
