• I’ve got an existing WP website and need to add a blog to it (so that one of the menu items is “Blog”). I’m a super novice with this stuff – any guidance would be so wonderful.
    Thanks!

  • you can install another WP in a sub directory called blog and link it on the main site.
YOu can use the same Database but just change the table prefix in wp_config file or create another database.

Create a page and call it ex. ‘Blog’

Then go to Settings>Reading , in ‘Front page displays’ select A static page (select below) and where it says ‘Posts page:’ choose ‘Blog’ (the page you created for the Blog).

Thanks Ervald. Will it then automatically be formatted as a blog and ready to post to? I’ve never set up a blog before. It makes sense to me from what you’ve shared that the space would then be available for the blog page, just not sure how the pieces of the blog get set up?

    Hi Navaratam,
What I’m trying to do is pretty much just like how this site is set up:
    https://www.peacefruit.com/blog/

Is what you suggested above how I can accomplish this?

    Thanks so much!

    Yes.

If you want to change the look of the page, open yourtheme/index.php.
