Weird youtube clip issue

I wanted to add a youtube clip to the site but the size proportions arent right. its longish, doesnt have the usual rectangle format and also, it doesnt show up in my homepage slider (text only).

Heres what i have done:

– i went to the tumbnail dimentions so i can adjust the appearance of the clip size = no change

– i went to html mode and changed the size of the clip there, just to see what gonna happen = no change

What else could i do?
