Everything about EME I like. Its working, I can display it on my site they way I want.

The front end submission though is lacking for usability. Users can submit basic event info, but things like max attendance, recurring events, ability for people to register/book for an event. All of these are missing.

Ive seen a number of other threads in the support forum that are all asking for this. So it seems like a logical step to add the capability in. Before I can even consider donating to you, I have to know that Im not going to have to pay out the rear for something else.

    Thanks for listening.

If you want all that to be present in a frontend submit form, it is like doing everything from the backend in the frontend.
Why not just let them use the backend to enter events then? The possibilities are just too great to cover in a simple frontend form.

Just a small remark: threatening with not giving a donation if it doesn’t do everything you want, is not showing much appreciation for the work I’ve put into EME the last years. So if it doesn’t do what you want: feel free to search wordpress for another event plugin that will give you everything EME gives for free …

Fair enough… I disagree that its that difficult to code in since its available as a pay function on other plugins. However, I have next to nothing in personal funds to put into a project for a hobby community website Im not being paid for, so hundreds of dollars for a “premium plugin” just isnt in the budget. I apologize that my comment came off as a threat, it was stated in frustration.

I am at present using a different plugin that does give the front end functionality described (Events Manager) but their thing is “Oh, you want protection from spambots using google’s free recaptcha? Gotta buy pro” Which as previously mentioned is just not budgetable for me to dump into a free site right now. So I was hoping that EME had some plan for the future and opted to add my voice to the list of people requesting it. I certainly wouldnt be able to donate what you truly deserve for your work, but given needed functionality I would have been happy to do so.

It has been requested by one or two people, nothing that deserves working on.
But except for recurrence, just about anything can be defined in the frontend (heck, evven the recurrent option can, but not the dates and such). Anything that is in the function eme_new_event() or eme_init_event_props() (see eme_events.php) can be defined in the frontend. But it’ll take time to create a form to your liking for that.
Maybe I’ll even get the whole form from the backend to the frontend, but unless someone will sponsor me for that, I won’t even start working on it. There are many other things on my todo-list …

Thats a fair reply, and a better one than previous replies of you “Just not going to do it” How much would the “three” of us need to sponsor you for to get a fully functional front end?
