The way WooCommerce works is good for a limited amount of Product Variations, but if you have over 3 product options then the pricing get’s extremely complicated as you can literally have hundreds of product variations.

It would be much easier to have it allow you to set a base Product Price and then have each variation allow you to set the additional cost.

    e.g.

    Base Price: $25
    Size
    – Small: add $0
    – Medium: add $15
    – Large: add $20
    Color
    – Blue: add $0
    – Green: add $10
    – Purple: add $25

Is there any way to do it that way in WooCommerce? Instead of the default way. Would make things much easier. I don’t need to keep track of the stock of the items.

  • I am starting to consider other ecommerce solutions, not only is there the pricing per variation problem, but when I did add all the variations to my product I had to go through the process multiple times (50 variation limit), it takes for ever to make a change to a product now and the page load is very slow…

Just bought your product and it is HORRIBLE! Nobody buy the Bulk Variations Manager. Asked for a refund, hope they live up to their 100% guarantee.

Well, to be fair, you should at least try to describe what aspect you thought was HORRIBLE! Otherwise, your “review” is pretty much worthless.

Also, before telling everyone “Nobody buy this product!”, since it does come with a satisfaction guarantee, it might be fairer to see how your guarantee claim goes, and if it is as expected, then people have little to lose trying the products out for themselves, and see if they also think it is HORRIBLE!

    Yes?

Keep us updated. We are all interested in informed views. But the information to typing quotient in your post so far is HORRIBLE! LOL.

    Hi,

So I have looked at all the above plugins because I’m working with a client that needed better options. We would have had to enter about 20,000 prices. I ended up getting this plugin https://www.najeebmedia.com/n-media-woocommerce-personalized-product-options-manager/. It seems to work quite nicely.

Here is a screen-shot with how it looks. https://imgh.us/Screen_Shot_2013-08-29_at_2.43.48_AM.png

    Hope this helps.

    Ok lets define horrible –

    Horrible
    adjective
    1.
causing or likely to cause horror; shocking.
    “a horrible massacre”
    synonyms: dreadful, awful, terrible, shocking, appalling, horrifying, horrific, horrendous, horrid, hideous, grisly, ghastly, gruesome, gory, harrowing, heinous, vile, unspeakable;

I purchased and downloaded the plugin, installed the plugin, and began using it get to see what results you would get performing a couple of variations. In my case it was selecting the following –

    Setting Base Price
Selecting 1 of 5 variables in my first set.
Selecting 2 of 100 variables in my second set.
Selecting 1 of 3 in my last set.

I added the prices for those variants so combined they will equal the product price. When I finished it took about 5-6 minutes and when I went into products after it was completed none of the variables I even selected as an option (test above) were in my product variations. Furthermore there was a variation price that wasn’t even remotely close that was a fixed price.

I then tested it again after deleting my 1 and only product, created a new product, added a few more variations from the test above and I had the same result. What was different this time is it only pulled in a maximum of 50 of these inaccurately calculated variations that I had never selected.

Grasping for anything to make this work because I need it I uninstalled it, and added the plugin for the second time with the same result. I checked for any other plugins that may have affected it and I pulled everything off with the exception of Woocommerce. Still had no bearing on it working whatsoever.

Conclusion – The product is HORRIBLE, based upon my analysis it is pure gimmickry that gives you check boxes and in the end all it does is activate the linking variations from the actual product variations. I’ve asked for a refund, I received an email asking for a screenshot of my variations. Bottom like is make 2 variations with 3 options each and you can see right thru it, I will update if I get refund. Looks like a nice product but clearly needs work to get better.

I purchased and downloaded the plugin

I bought the add on plugin mentioned above which works fine but imo needs a few improvements such as the ability to for global addons to be done by product id vs just by category. If you don’t do global you have to copy each one over again and add it(which is just a cut and paste). Not every product is the same so this would be a good improvement. The spacing is also out of wack with my theme the retailer, it pushes the add on drop down or text area(what every addon you choose) further down the page. This could just be a css issue but i have been to busy adding products to mess with it. Otherwise it is a solid. Hope that helps.
