    When activating any Additional Firewall rule it max’s out entry process, cpu and memory and returns 403 from admin and site pages, although no pages on my site have query strings.
    I need to delete the htaccess via ftp and then update options with these disabled.
    Other than that, everything else works fine and its drasticly reduced server resource usage.
    I can do without these rules but thought I’d share the info incase theres a quick fix for this.
    Great plugin!

    @mcfester,
    Thanks for the info.

    I haven’t so far been able to reproduce the behaviour which you are seeing.
    Perhaps your server produced logs which might shed more light.
    Can you check your server for any logs?

    Hi, I’m on a shared server with cpanel, no root access, if you could tell me what to look for I could have a go.

    First try doing this.
    Go to the following AIOWPS menu:
    Filesystem Security->Host System Logs

    Then enter error_log and click the “View Latest System logs” button and see if anything comes up.

    If no logs are shown, then talk to your host provider to see if they can help you find any server logs (including apache logs) on the system. Explain to them the issue you are trying to troubleshoot.

    I recreated the problem by checking all options in additional firewall settings.
    Here is the wordpress error log

    [ Hundreds of lines of log data deleted, please use pastebin.com instead if you must share that ]

    Hi @mcfester have you tested the latest version of the plugin?
