  • Hi Gift,

The sections and labels you see in the demo are done two ways. The first is by creating new custom fields and making sure that the “Searchable?” option is set to “Yes” for that custom field. The second way is that you can go to the “Labelling” area of the “Options” tab and change the label name for both Categories and Tags to something else.

I do understand that I can change the label names from the Labeling area. On the demo site this is done for the labels Categories, Type (which is Sub-Categories) and Store (which is Tags label). But I can not understand how to create a sections like on the demo site (i.e. the section named Material has custom fields named Cloth, Gold, Platinum etc.). It is easy to create these fields (Cloth, Gold etc.) but I can not create the section name (Material) using the custom fields. I did tried all possible options and combinations (including setting ‘Searchable’ to Yes) with no result.

    Hi Gift,

We have created a custom field of name “Material” of type “select”. In the input value we have put the following: Platinum, Gold, Wood, Stainless Steel, Cloth, Liquid

This will create a list from which you can choose from upon creating your product. Make sure to change the sidebar’s option under Styling > Sidebar > Show/Hide Custom Fields to “Show”.

Let us know if it works out for you.

    Best regards,

Yes, that works exactly as described. Now it makes perfect sense to me.

    Thank you very much!
