ADDITIONAL Step Added for payment in Latest update

    Hello, after I updated STRIPE plugin, when I click ‘continue to payment”, there is an extra step – a page with payment information and a “place order” button as in here ,which was used to directly pop up a modal window for payment at checkout, now it redirects to another additional page/step which is unnecessary and counterproductive.

  • I totally agree with this comment. I just discovered that too and was wondering what I had done wrong. I also use the one-page checkout extension and this totally violates the principle of one-page checkout. I don’t understand why they did this.

    I think they are trying to get people away from using the stripe checkout modal option. Not sure why.

    Thnk u every one, so this was the problem Here It didnt use to validate before starting the modal popup, now they have forced woocommerce to do so by adding another step, God knows, how many people will leave with this xtra step

    As a note, if you don’t find the Stripe Checkout popup form to be useful, you can turn this off in the settings and use the main Stripe form fields.

    I’m going to mark this as resolved as the cause has been found – if you have any further questions, you can start a new thread.
