    VERIFICATION REQUIRED: Additional verification is required for login. Please check the email address associated with the account for a verification link.

    This is always shown when users try to login

    I tried what was suggested in previous threads but with no success. This is what I tried:

    Adding 2FA to subscribers
    Run ReCaptcha in test mode

    What else can I try?

    Hello @kristina237 and thanks for reaching out to us!

    What user role is the user that is getting that message? Are they a subscriber? They might be getting that message if they enabled 2FA and it didn’t set up completely.

    If you search their user name in your WordPress dashboard, Do you see 2FA active?

    Hi,

    thanks so much for getting back.

    The user is a subscriber and 2FA is disabled for subscribers. I double-checked in the user profile and there it also says it’s disabled.

    Any ideas what else I can do?

    Are you using any sort of membership plugin or anything? It doesn’t look like a 2FA issue but an account verification setting possibly from another plugin.

    Is it just that one user who is seeing this issue? Are they getting any emails from your site that require them to verify?
