Additional widgets?

Hi, recent ads widget is planned for version 1.0.9, which will be released in about month.

This will be actually widget for both featured and recent ads, as it will allow to select which items do you wish to display.

Great, it sounds like you have a promising roadmap.

This with buddypress and ‘fee or free’ at a category level are my top asks at the minute

I use the Kleo theme, the best selling theme on theme forest. This uses circle thumbnails throughout, including its widgets. Is there any way the widget could have the option for round thumbnails as well?

the circled images are most likely being done using CSS, if you send me a link to your page i should be able to send you back a code snippet which will display WPAdverts images in similar fashion.

Its any thumnails in the upcoming sidebar widget I’d like to have the option of making them round. The ads on the main ad pages would look fine rectangular.

Two questions:
-Do users still places ads and pay etc via the normal ads screen?
-Browse, is this to browse just the users ads or is it all ads on the site? I guess the first

2. the “Listings” tab, allows to browse only Ads posted by user whose profile you are currently viewing.

The kleo ‘latest posts’ widget has the circles slightly bigger for some reason compared to their other widgets, 40px wide on the latest posts. Thats not shown on the demo site I think, but I’m using it on my site also.

I cannot see there “Latest Posts” widget (only “Recent Posts” although it does not have any images), anyway, the circled images they are using for avatars can be applied to any image, for example if you would like to apply them to avatars on single Ad details pages then just add following code to your theme CSS

.single-advert .adverts-single-author-avatar > img.avatar {
    border-radius: 100%;
    border: 5px solid #f7f7f7;
}

I’ve managed to add a ‘latest ads’ widget, see the last one in the sidebar here (you’ll have access to this page):

Its a widget that came with the Kleo theme and I’ve told it to pull in the custom post type of ‘Classified’ and for the tumb nail to use the featured image (there is only the option of author image or featured image).

As you can see there is no tumb nail being pulled in. Can you make the first image become the featured image some how, so this widget will work?

The last one for me seems to be “Upcoming Events” widget?

Either way, i am not sure how does this widget work, you would need to check with widget creator, what is required to have an image displayed.

Regarding the buddypress plug in, does this create a link to the posters buddypress page as well as add the private message button? Do non logged in users see the private message button and if so what happens when they click it?

On Ad details page the username is linked to BP profile, the Send Private Message displays only to logged in users as only they can send messages.
