Addon Domain instead of Parked Domain

  • Hi,

    I have a WP30 Multisite configuration with Domain Mapping plugin (the wpmu.org version – but i think it’s not a big difference), so normally i park a domain and then i redirect it to one blog with domain mapping.

    It’s there a way to use a ‘Addon Domain’ instead a park domain and then redirect it with domain mapping?

    And after that, can i create a ftp account in that Addon Domain witch redirect it (addon-domain.com) to main-multisite.com/wp-content/blogs.dir/n/ directory (where n is the blog number)

    Could someone give me any adivice?

  • You have to define the right directory when setting up the AddOn domain. It has to match the folder where your main WordPress account is installed.

    As for the ftp account, yes it can be done. I only know how to do it server-side tho, not through cpanel.
