Addon Domain trouble

  • I recently moved a blog of mine (filmonfire.net) from hostgator to a bluehost account where I had a primary domain (anthonybarsotti.com) already set up. I tried to copy all of my files from hostgator to the bluehost account and at first I was receiving a message about Database Errors. I changed the MySQL information in my wp-config.php and that got rid of the error but now nothing displays on my site. I’m entirely sure but I think I need to set up WordPress Multisite in order to use the addon blog (filmonfire.net) on this account because when I try to use my filmonfire.net/wp-admin or the login.php it takes me to my primary domain (anthonybarsotti.com). Please let me know if this is what I need to do in order to get my addon blog working correctly. Thanks in advance.

  • Did you create a new database, and then import the old one from HostGator into Bluehost? You would need to do that for it to work correctly. You may also need to edit site and home URLs in the database or use velvetblues plugin to update the URLs.
