    Hey Alan,

That’s because View Selection Source shows you the HTML code after javascript interactions.

If you instead right-click on an empty area of the page and select “View Source”, you can then search in the untouched source code and verify that your email is in fact not present.

    Hope that helps.

That seems correct, Khromov. Sometimes Javascript doesn’t work, and I tried your plugin so that I didn’t have to rely on Javascript. What happens if my browser (Firefox, notably weird with JS and Flash) decides not to work?

    Regards,

    Alan

    Hey Alan,

A lot of functions in WordPress admin as well as themes rely on javascript, so it is expected that a properly configured site has no javascript errors. Hence you do in fact need to rely on javascript to work in order to use wordpress at all.

Firefox is not “notably weird” with JS and flash, millions of people use it every day without issues.

Without javascript, we wouldn’t be able to sufficiently obfuscate the email addresses, or make them clickable to end users. You can read more about the obfuscation techniques in the FAQ:

If you feel this plugin is not working out for you, feel free to try another one, such as:
