    Hi Support,

We are currently using the plugin, and it is working well.

However, the plugin is failing Core Web Vitals particularly for CLS.

Will the plugin be updated soon to address CLS issue?
I am thinking if the slider section will be given an initial height before the slider is being loaded, I think it will solve the CLS issue.

Is there a temporary work-around for it?

    Thanks!

  • Hi, @thefriendlancer!

    Thanks for writing in!

I’m submitting this as an overall ticket to our dev team so they can ensure that this works properly with Core Web Vitals and CLS, in particular.

In the meantime, you might be able to use CSS to force the height, or to make it a fixed-height slider.

Thank you @atdugan for escalating the ticket to your Dev Team.

May we ask though if your team will be prioritizing the ticket and it will be released any time soon, and is there an ETA?

We can consider hacking it ourselves e.g. add a force height via CSS but hopefully the default height fix will come soon.

Any update on this issue. It is causing majar issues on many of our sites. Google is flagging them! This is now one of Googles ranking parameters.
    Thank you.

It has been a month since this issue was brought to Soliloquy and no update or progress report. We have used this slider exclusively for many years on over a hundred sites. But with Google pushing CLS and our clients screaming, we will bw forced to drop Soliloquy unless we can get some information and help. With as hot a topic CLS is I am very surprised on the lack of information.
Hope that I am wrong and a fix is forth coming.

This is still failing on Google’s core web vitals which is expected since the plugin hasn’t been updated since 9 mos ago.

We really hope the plugin developer will address this ASAP as Google will start penalizing us in a month or so.

Our sites using the plugin also experience this.
I hope d plugin author will fix this asap since google will penalize sites with bad core web vitals score.

I guess we are moving on. This is a Google vital parameter and zero update.
We used this plugin on over 100 sites but no more. Now we have to go bacj=k through many of them and replace Soliloquy
