• Hello,

I have searched to see if I could find a solution to this and couldn’t locate one so forgive me if there was one…

    My site is https://www.randomexistence.com

My problem is I can’t seem to get Adsense to target according to the current content (or even the static info on the front page, header, etc). Once it was stuck on religious theme and now on redhead stuff (I posted two times total about having red hair…whoopee.) That was days ago…

I wrote to Google and they were nice telling me it was because more than one bot spiders the sites and they don’t communicate. I understand that much. But I don’t understand why when you click on the link to an individual post the ads ARE related.

    Here is an example:

    https://www.randomexistence.com/
    https://www.randomexistence.com/?p=138

If it was all related to spidering, why does it “know” on a single post?

Is there anything i can do to fix this problem? I’m really new and just figuring things out so sorry if this is an easy thing to solve. I know I can make the front page show only one post but it still views as the front page and not the post page (?p=###) Is there a way to have the current post replace the main page when the front page is viewed?

    Thanks

  • There’ve been a fair amount of posts about this sort of thing over the months. A simple search for “adsense not relevant” turned up this list: https://search.www.ads-software.com/adsense+not+relevant

    Try reading through that.

While no expert by any means, I would guess an individual page is spidered and that’s all the bot reads, the subject and text on that single page.

If you index page is spidered the bot has more text (ie more posts of different subjects) and more ways to vary the content it provides.

Thanks very much. I will look through that thread. I searvhed “adsense” but will search the link above. And, I will try to find out the way the index page is spidered to see if I can fix it somehow. Thanks!
