Adhesive 1.2

  • Hello everyone,
    I am having a slight issues with the adhesive plugin. Here you go

    When you click on the calendar for single day posts and you have a sticky post. No matter what day you click on you only get the sticky. Not the post that is actually there… you can check the posts individually with the categories, or by clicking all. But use of the calendar seems to be null.
    Any suggestions?

    I cannot get to the downloads area either..
    the wordpress hacks list just retains the index of the site..
    Can we get a direct link to the download of 1.4 here please..

    Ringmaster… ?? I reluctantly advise that Adhesive 1.4 also seems to have a problem with SEF URL’s…

    In this case my top sticky article on the home page is throwing back the link dated 1970/01/01
    I appreciate that this was a “proof of concept” for you… but if we could just get that SEF thingy sorted then I’d say it would be well and truely proven. ?? In the meantime I’ve gone back to adhesive 1.2, because at least that version threw out the correct SEF link.

    I’m becoming disgusted with reports that these pages don’t work when I can see them quite clearly. It all has to do with the lousy gzip compression support in PHP/WP. Everything should work just fine now. It had better…

    Ringmaster, I love it, in fact, now I want more of it!
    Is it possible to run multiple instances of Adhesive 1.5? i.e. Sticky1, Sticky2, Sticky3. I want this so I can have Stickies for “Top Story”, “Breaking News”, “Featured Article” etc. I need different instances so I can configure the css background graphic and Sticky Title differently.
    I tried renaming the script adhesive2.php, and uploading it alongside the first plugin, but it caused a conflict. I look forward to recieving your comment.

    @ring, 1.5 is working great. One small thing was bugging me though. In the “dots” stylesheet on Alex’s contest site, it would change the style of the headings of just the sticky posts. No other styles would be effected, just that one. For the life of me, I didn’t see what was up with that style. I ripped out the part of 1.5 that used the sticky style class when it posted the sticky, and that fixed it until I can take another look at it.

    Xyth, do you have a sticky post up there to view the problem? It might be easier to try and help if we can see what you are referring to.

    @wairoanz: That hammered it into submission. I suspect only the header related entries are really needed, but just in case I will leave the rest in. Thanks for taking the time to come up with a better work around than mine.
