    Hi there,

I have two tings I want to adjust in my breadcrumbs.

    1. I need to remove “Varer” here, since that page does not exist. I cannot see why that breadcrumb appears here. It does not on all products. Seems to be a kind of bug.
    2. I want to show product category ancestors. Check this sub-category. I want to show both “Stearinlys” AND “Kalenderlys” at the products in the sub-category. How is that possible?

    Best Regards,
    Peter

    Hello @pstidsen

Thanks for reaching out regarding your breadcrumbs. I have addressed your concerns below:

    1. I believe Varer is a product category just like Kalenderlys? Hovering on “Varer” in the breadcrumb trail shows a trashed URL. Could you have deleted the product category but didn’t reassign Fyrfadslys TURKIS 7-8 timer i klar plastkop, pk. à 50 stk to another product category? Also, ensure that you have set a default shop page in WordPress > WooCommerce > Settings > Products > Shop Page.
    2. I already see those in the trail – Forside ? Webshop ? Stearinlys ? Kalenderlys. And if I pick one product, I see Forside ? Webshop ? Kalenderlys though it seems it’s assigned two categories (Kalenderlys, Stearinlys). Do you mean you want Kalenderlys & Stearinlys to show in the breadcrumb trail?

We look forward to hearing from you.

    Hi Maybellyne,

    1. Varer is not a product category. I think it’s an old page. I have searched for it in the database and deleted some old stuff related to the page. After resaving the specific product, it works.
    2. Yes, I want both Kalenderlys?&?Stearinlys?to show on the product when it is assigned to both and the one is child of the other (Kalenderlys is a child of Stearinlys). That’s whole point of breadcrumbs imo – to show the full trail.

    Best Regards,
    Peter

    Hello Peter,

By default, when you assign a product to multiple categories, WooCommerce doesn’t have the option to choose a primary catgeory. The category shown in the breadcrumbs seems to be based on random selection.

But the Yoast SEO plugin gives you the feature to make one the primary category. The selected primary category is shown in the breadcrumb trail.

    Hi Maybellyne,

I do not think this is an answer to my question. The question is about category hierarchy. I want to show ALL categories in the category hierarchy and not just the last one.

I hope you can clarify how that can be done.

The Yoast SEO plugin gives you the feature to make one the primary category which is the category you have selected as the primary. There’s no option to show ALL categories in the category hierarchy in the breadcrumbs trail.
