Adjust featured Image thumbnail

  • Hi,

    I just want to know how to ” FIT ” image of different size labled as ” Featured Image ” in thumbnail box. I have image of diiferent sizes, when i insert it as featured image and when it display in Archive page in tumbnail box, it not show proper image. it shows “Cropped Image” . I want to fit whole image in that particular fixed box. How can i do this?

    Thanks for asking.

    Basically, you should use the images in some proper proportions in order to avoid issues like some parts of the image being cut-off. Our theme cropps the images from the center and thus the best images for Featured images should be in some proportions like 16:10, 4:3, and similar. It’s the same for all other themes for WordPress as well.

    We cant upload two image for the same post which one is used for featured image and other used for the same post page. I used one image which can be used for both and fit (Adjust) in box on archieve page.

    I fully understand you, but you need to be aware that there is a certain limitation in the way WordPress crops the images. It cannot enlarge the images, just to cut the images based on their proportion.

    I would appreciate it if you could paste the URL of some page where I could see those images, perhaps we can make some workaround using CSS.
