    Thanks, I appreciate that.

    The plugin sets the height of the slideshow to match the tallest “slide”. Otherwise, the elements below it will bounce up and down which is very distracting, especially if it’s the last element before the footer.

    It’s also important to anchor the slideshow controls. Imagine a visitor positioning their mouse over the controls only to have them move up or down. They now have to think which breaks the flow of reading.

    A little whitespace is good. Distraction is bad. Function before form.

    The better solution is to use testimonials of about the same length or an excerpt.

    I’m standing my ground on this one. ??

    However, even after adjusting all testimonials to be of similar word lengths, there is still too much white space between the testimonial and the Read more link.

    Thank you, but we may have to go with a different plugin that doesn’t decide for our client how his site should look.
