• Hi there!

I’m loving your map but find that it gives me a lot of white space around the edges… is there any way to reduce this please?

Hi @explor thank you for using the plugin!

You can improve this by adjusting the height of the map. Since NZ is predominately vertical, you can make the height much bigger and it will adjust the space on the sides.

You will still some space above and below, mostly because the map includes the smaller islands, like Raoul Island on the north and Campbell island on the south, so it leaves a lot of space on the top and bottom to accommodate them.

In the Pro version you have more granular control, but in the free version we can only adjust the height.

    Hi Carlos,

    Thanks so much!

There really does seem to be a lot of space above (with no islands that I can see). I don’t suppose there’s anything you guys can do about this please?

    It’s looking a bit silly… https://newzealandsorted.com/explore-new-zealand/

    Thanks so much!

    Hi @explor
It’s super small, but Raoul Island is there, on the top right corner: https://ibb.co/WK5v56B
Like I mentioned before, in the Pro version you can change the initial zoom and center of the map, but in the free version that’s not possible. Sorry for the limitation.

The only workaround in the free version would be to use custom css to ‘move the map up’ by using negative margins, with code similar to this:

    Hope it helps
