• Hello,
I looked but could not find my answer. One of the features is described as: “TableTools provides the visitor of your site with options for saving a table as a CSV or Excel (XLS) file, copying data to the system’s Clipboard, or printing the table.”

Problem #1: I want the print function but I don’t want user to export my data. Is there any way to hide those buttons?

    My page is here: https://growingvine.net/vineyards/

Problem #2 is After clicking the print button an instruction message shows and then dissappears quickly. I wish it would persist and need a close by viewer so people will read and realize they must use the Esc key to get page back to ‘normal’

    thank you, Nancy

    Hi,

to be honest, unfortunately I don’t know if that is possible with the TableTools script.
It was not developed by me and I only ship it as an add-on for my plugin. I suggest asking in the DataTables forums at https://www.datatables.net if what you want is possible.
It might be possible with a modified initialization code, and I can imagine this especially for your first problem. I’m not sure, if problem two can be solved like this, likely a modification of the TableTools JavaScript code is necessary, which I don’t recommend.

    Best wishes,
    Tobias
