• I use the “Creative University” V1.5 template by Creativ Themes, and regular Elementor. The site is small and there are relatively few plugins, so there is not a big load. There are 4 things I need to adjust in the template and in the address:

    1. When I set up a page for the blog entrance, once I click on it, a blank page appears. When I don’t set this page, it appears normally. How can I make the presentation work without disabling the default template?
    2. Posts (not pages) that are set in the default format are not displayed. Only if I switch them to full-width Elementor mode do they show, but then the built-in post title doesn’t show. What needs to be changed?
    3. The button that expands the menu on mobile and desktop on a narrow window doesn’t look right in some browsers and devices, and the social media buttons appear in most browsers as a color without the logos. Is there anything to do besides replacing them manually with pictures and a link?
    4. Last: My URL is still set to yairshachar-co-il.preview-domain.com/. I want to change the address to yairshachar.co.il/ structure that will work both on the home page and on the other pages and posts. Manually changing the address in the settings area on the WordPress dashboard does not work. Where do you change it?

    Thanks!

  • To troubleshoot the issues you are experiencing with your WordPress website:

For the blank page issue: Make sure that you have selected a page template for your blog entrance page that is compatible with the content you are trying to display. If you are using a custom page template, check that it is correctly set up and that there are no errors in the code.

For the issue with posts not being displayed: Check that you have correctly configured your blog page to display posts in the default format. Make sure that the page is set to use the correct page template and that the query for the posts is correctly set up. If you are using a custom page template, check that it is correctly set up and that there are no errors in the code.

For the issue with the menu button and social media icons: Check that you have correctly configured the settings for these elements in the template or plugin you are using. If the issue is with the appearance of the buttons in different browsers or devices, it may be caused by browser or device-specific styling. You can try using a cross-browser testing tool to check how the buttons appear in different browsers, or you can try adding custom CSS to your website to override the default styling for these elements.

For the issue with changing the URL of your website: To change the URL of your website, you can go to Settings > General in your WordPress dashboard and update the WordPress Address (URL) and Site Address (URL) fields. Make sure to enter the new URL with the correct protocol (http or https) and domain name. Once you have updated these fields, you may need to log out and log back in to your WordPress site to see the changes take effect.

I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions.

    Tanks for answering so fast.

    1. I Selected a page to be the front page of the blog, and got this problem with the default theme of the template. Where can I find code errors? I didn’t see a template page of a blog front in the public html folder. Where should I look?
    2. It seems like the same problem. Can the solution be the same?
    3. Before adding specific CSS I’d like to test it. Do you havIe a recommended outside tester or plugin?
    4. I tried again and again, using https (as I should) and also http, with and without www. In all cases it didn’t change, even when I was required to login again. Is there a different way to solve this problem?
