I posted this on another thread but it disappeared and it said it looks like I had already posted (weird glitch).

    I’ll try again:

Sorry, you are not allowed to access this page.

When I tried to uninstall/re-install it did throw a php err but don’t think that’s the permissions problem. The table is there. I would like to know in phpmyadmin possibly to check the perms. What I see is below the err msg here.

2017/07/20 12:06:48 [error] 6702#6702: *9655 FastCGI sent in stderr: “PHP message: WordPress database error Table ‘mydomain.wp_visitor_maps_wo’ doesn’t exist for query ALTER TABLEwp_visitor_maps_wo

  • Hi are you login in as an administrator? Did you try to disable all of your other plugins except this one then carried out another test?

Yes, all that and it still doesn’t give me access. We are top level admins logged in.

This site is on php7.0-fpm and NGINX. I have other sites with same setup where this is failing as well.

After trying to access with all plugins deactivated I see no php errors, and when I re-activated and tried to access Visitor Maps options still no errors.

Thank you for reporting back. You mention that your server is using NGINX, that might be the problem. The plugin developer will investigate further your issue.

    Kind regards

No problems, but I’ve had NGINX for years, just maybe something in one of your updates lately that is the culprit.

It’s not a huge deal, but is nice to set up how long records are kept.

Great plugin used it for years as well.

I have the same related problem, but I haven’t NGINX. Just in the last two versions… I mentioned as I’m very glad about your plugin and your work and I try to use it without setting access. But please you to correct this in the new versions. Thank you very much.

I have that same problem. Do you have a solution? Thanks

@alperi, have you tried accessing the settings in WordPress admin panel by going to Settings -> Visitor Maps?

The plugin developer is still looking into this issue.

    Thank you

@mbrsolution, I can access the settings section. Maybe there is a problem from ModSecurity or Comodo WAF but there is no problem with this error in the log records
(I am sorry for my English)

same problem, I am using the plugin of user role editor ( https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/user-role-editor/) to check and I am sure my account has capability of setting plugins.

    please check the screenshot:

    https://prntscr.com/g9iadl

I used in wordpress Mu, and only activated it in sub site.
