Does this plugin block other admins (other than the account that installed) from viewing the settings?

    Hi @peteratomic,

No, by default, all the users with an administrator role should be able to update the settings.

From the message you are getting I suggest checking that you are not running the plugin in Headers & Footers only mode. In that case you can turn it off from Settings > Header & Footer > Uncheck the Simple mode toggle and save.

Another possibility is that your site is using a plugin to edit user roles and a user no longer has the “wpcode_edit_snippets” custom capability.

We have ultimate member installed but I deactivated that and still couldn’t access the settings.

Not seeing your plugin listed under the settings menu.

This is the link I’m trying to access, found on the plugins page: admin.php?page=wpcode

    Hi @peteratomic,

Changes made to user roles get stored in the database so even if you disabled the plugin if a capability has been removed from a role it will stay removed.

Can you please check that the user role of the user with which you are trying to access the WPCode settings has the “wpcode_edit_snippets” capability?

    Thanks

Tried the User Role Editor plugin to see if anything was unchecked but everything for the admin role was enabled.

Where? In the User Roles plugin? I don’t see that listed anywhere.

If you are using the User Role Editor plugin, you should be able to filter by the capabilty like this: https://a.supportally.com/i/IMqJHZ

If the capability does not show up at all, please try deactivating the plugin and activating it again – that should fix it in case the custom capabilities were removed or failed to be added somehow.
