Admin-Ajax too much resources

Any update on this issue? I saw someone post this almost 5 months ago in here and marked resolved. Any update of any changes to stop the major spikes? CPU usage in cpanel reports thousands of spikes a day caused by this plugin. Only option I feel now, is to disable it.

I have it turned off now, as my web server is threatening suspending me for “many times a day server spikes”, and if i turn off this plugin, everything is fine. but with it on, the Disk I/O are maxed out few times an hour, as every page hangs for 4 to 6 seconds for people without adblock, and 8 to 24 seconds for those with (using gtmatrix waterfall graph)

the issue is:

action=call_an_adblock_counter&an_state%5B%5D=total

or

action=call_an_adblock_counter&an_state%5B%5D=total&an_state%5B%5D=blocked

(using gtmatrix, a google search brought me to your plugin hence how i found which one was causing the issue)

Im not bothered about the minor hang, as it happens after content loaded, so people don’t notice it. But cpanel keeps warning me that I/O Disk keeps reaching 100% use, and my site gets warnings of being limited.

When I turn this off, disk I/O never goes above 34% (unless making a nightly backup which makes it spike)
