• Greetings. When I upgraded from version 3.2.1 to 3.3.1, I see that the bar management is at the backend does not show the menus. Which means I can not log out. In the backend disappeared bar menus administration. This means there is no way to close the session. With the previous version if it did. You only see a brown bar.

    Someone can help me?

  • Not quite sure where you are seeing a brown bar as it is black for me. So after the upgrade you don’t have the black bar at the top of the page when in the backend?

If you are missing the black bar I would suggest deactivating all plugins and switching to the default Twentyten/Twentyeleven themes and seeing if the issue still persists. If it does still persist it could be an issue with a corruped/missing file during the upgrade in which you could try reinstalling through Dashboard->Updates.

If that doesn’t work I would next try a manual reinstall to make sure all files are uploaded.

If however you do have the black bar up at the top you can log out by hovering over the far right area where it displays ‘Howdy, [username]’ along with your avatar and a menu will popup allowing you to log out.

Yes, it’s a black bar but no menu item. I’m back to installing everything and anything .. I can not leave once I get backend since this item does not even appear.

My black bar menu has also gone missing…sometimes. On some days it works, on others it doesn’t. The same goes for my twitter and cloud widgets…as well as my sharing options…I don’t even know where to start. Recommendations?

    Thanks in advance!

My admin toolbar doesn’t show on my site when I’m logged in. It will show when I preview posts but not on the published site. I am using WordPress 3.5. I think this problem started before I upgraded, though.

    I have tried:

    1. Switching to Twenty Twelve and Twenty Ten themes. No effect.
    2. Deactivating all plugins. No effect.
    3. Checking that the Show Toolbar setting in my user profile is checked.

I noticed the 28px margin-top style embedded in wp-includes/admin-bar.php isn’t registering on the published pages. But I’m not sure what that means.

Thanks for any help you offer.

@pratian – please start your own thread – this one is quite outdated so is not really relevant (not the same version of WP) – plus it’s simply better if you avoid posting in other people’s threads.
