• The problem doesn’t seem to be my theme since the admin bar isn’t showing using twentyten or twentyeleven.

Regardless, checked the footer issue and…nope.

Yes, I have the option set under users > Your profile. It will work within the dash, but I need it to show while viewing the site.

    Reinstalled wordpress… no fix. *sigh*

Anyone have any guess what else it could be? This is hosted on Godaddy and I know Godaddy is not a favorite, but the admin bar is working fine on other sites I have hosted there.

    Thanks!

  • Thanks.. THAT finally did it!!

Can you answer a question for me.. I used a theme that I KNEW the admin bar worked with as my guide.. it does NOT have <?php wp_footer(); ?> in the footer.php file.. Why would that theme work with the admin bar, and this one did not until I added it??

ETA: Nevermind.. I found the answer.. wp_footer() was BURIED in a string of function calls in that theme..

    Carry on.. and thanks!!!

    No problem ??

Why did doing that work? I’ve had a poopy time trying to figure that out. Why do you not have to add wp_sidebar(); or wp_header();? Just wondering…

Because the calls for the admin bar require all of these functions to be present to work..

I figured that out that just after I posted that reply, lol. Thanks tho ??
