Admin bar slow

  • Hi,

    When I load my WordPress Admin area, I see that it takes about 10 seconds. The problem is the admin bar above, because that stays white till the page was loaded. The only plugin I used was the Admin bar remover, for the Subscribe user role. It didn’t help to delete the plugin.

    What to do?

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    Hi,

    I think it is bbpress, so I deactivate it. Now my website (admin + front) gives an internal server error (500). How to fix this?
