Admin becoming Dokan Vendor

Problem#2
Vendor needs to logout and login again to check any changes…

Firstly, vendor request was received and vendor was logged in while seeing “You’re not able to sell yet” notice… I did approve the request then, even after refreshing same notice was being showed… Vendor needed to Re-login to see the effect…

Secondly, Changing Order Status is a bit pain from the Dashboard… when an order is received, if vendor changes the status of the order, re-login is mandatory to see that in effect… No matter how many pages do i browse or clear the cache, it doesn’t change on the frontend… Let me add, on the backend, it changes successfully; but that’s not the only thing to keep in mind, right..?

In a word, any changes/save the vendor makes, if not re-logged in vendor can’t see the changes…

Problem#3
Though not that much important like the other points, but not ignorable as well – the account creation email is same as Customer… I think, this might need to change too…

Let me explain each of the issues you pointed.

1. The admin account does have vendor capability but you can disable the store or selling capability. That will stop showing the admin’s product on the frontend. You can either disable it from Dokan > Vendors section or you can edit the user’s profile and disable the selling capability – https://prnt.sc/ucpdck

2. This problem does not seems to be happening for other users. Can you please try after deactivating all plugins except Dokan and WooCommerce. Also activate a default theme like Storefrontend and check further.

for #2 I faced the same issue and its because of Litespeed Cache I deactivated and then I can see any changes immediately without to logout and login. but I don’t know how to solve it.

I don;t want to Disable Admin Selling Capabilities… Then, it becomes problematic to add and sell products on my own… In that case, I’d like to add, once I did that earlier, it removed all the Products of mine, I needed to manually update for every product I own…

1. It seems the idea is getting contradicted. So, you want to keep the Admin’s selling capability. Do you want to remove the admin products? Or, do you want to remove the admin’s store page? Can you please clarify?

2. Thanks @shaar7 for the input. Yes, this can be a good reason. Caching plugins does not allow to show changes immediately so you should check that as well.

1. Yes, Admin will sell product on his own.. He will not be any vendor… And, his Products wont be shown in the Store page of Dokan…

Just like other Ecommerce Websites, where Admin only sells, without any vendor…

Could I make myself clear..?

Admin will have vendor capability by default because admin by default has all the capability of other user roles.

Now, when you say “his Products won’t be shown in the Store page of Dokan” do you mean the shop page where all products show? Or the single store page that each vendor have?

The shop page will show all products no matter who added that. This is made by WooCommerce and just like it shows products without Dokan. If you want to modify that you have to customize the WooCommerce shop query.

On the other hand, if the request is to stop showing the Admin’s store then let me know. I will try my best to give some hints as full customization support is not possible according to our policy.
