Admin CSS Problem
-
I’ve just had a message back from the ‘Monster Insights’ support team that one of your plugins – Smart Logo Showcase Lite – is causing problems with its own MonsterInsights plugin, and possibly ALL plugins on websites that I install the Showcase Lite on.
Their message:
‘In theory, WordPress plugins are supposed to only load their Admin CSS files on their own pages to prevent conflicts, that’s best practices, but unfortunately this one is loading it cross the whole Admin, and in doing so is overriding our styles with their unbelievably generic CSS rules (they literally even have one that applies to any HTML element).’
Monster Insights have shown great support by dropping a code snippet into my snippet editor allowing me to use both plugins together, but as they pointed out in another paragraph of their message –
‘it’s almost a certainty that this is causing issues with other plugins’s admin pages’.
So whilst I appreciate how the Smart Logo Showcase Lite plugin looks and performs, would it not be possible to integrate it a little more so that any possible conflicts would be removed as per ‘WordPress best practices’?
