I have a form created in Forminator. When sending notifications to customers the admin email (mine) was used. After searching forums I installed Branda and filled out the SMTP info. Ran a email test and the test email showed the correct email header. The email notification in Forminator is still showing the admin email. Am I missing a step?

    Hi @debranettles

    Hope you are doing fine!

Yo may need to adjust the Headers with the From, Reply To, CC, etc information directly in the Forminator Notification settings. Please see the screenshot below for a better reference:

Please adjust these settings as needed and let know if you get the expected results.

    Kind regards

No, unfortunately it keeps showing my email address!
I am assuming because I am the admin of this website.

The test email in Branda is correct.
The email response in Forminator is not.

I have removed myself as admin and the email still show my email address. I have deleted it from every place I can find on the site including all Forminator forms and on our hostserver (Bluehost) How can it still be showing? Again when I send a test via Branda it works fine. HELP!!!!

    Hi @debranettles

Please check one more thing: go to the “Forminator -> Settings -> General” page and see if any e-mail is set on this page in “From Headers” option. If yes, remove it entirely and save settings.

If that doesn’t help, please export the form from the site and share it with us so we could double-check it.

To export the form, go to “Forminator -> Forms” page and click on the little “gear” icon next to the form in question. Then select “Export” option from the drop-down menu, copy the given code and put it at “pastebin.com” service and include link to it in your response below.

    Best regards,

    Hi @debranettles

    Thanks for sharing the form!

I checked it and currently I see that:

    – for the “Admin Email” notification there are no settings configured for all the headers (from email, reply-to and so on) except the “From Name”

    – for the “Thank you to purchaser” notification, all those headers are set to “info@ma…ub.org” address

The settings look fine. Also if I changed those addresses to mine on my test site, I’m getting correct headers on my end which suggests that the issue is specific to your site or/and server configuration.

    So the questions are then:

    1. I understand that the “[email protected]” address is the one that should be used in headers but is not, right?

    2. the issue is the same for both notifications or only one of them (if one – which one)?

    3. did you double-check “From Headers” setting on “Forminator -> Settings -> General” page to make sure wrong address is not set there?

    4. could you share a link to the form directly on your site so we could do some test submission there to see actual notification delivered to us?

    Best regards,
    Adam

    Hello @debranettles ,

We haven’t heard from you for some time now, so it looks like you don’t require our further assistance.

Feel free to re-open this ticket if needed.

    Kind regards
