Admin Fields broken in updates past 4.0

Hi, sorry for the trouble.

Pls provide some more details, like any exception logs from php’s error.log file, would point me in the right direction.

Here’s a clip from our error log the last time I attempted to add a product. All fields entered were saved except for product cost

This happened after I rolled back to 3.0.4 and created new custom admin fields. Again, in your current version 4.0.3, I do not have an “admin fields” option from the fields factory menu.

@rayhunt0917 Thanks for the logs, as you mention it is from 3.0.4 (after rolled back) right.?.

If it is possible, pls upgrade to 4.0.3 again and then post the error.log file entries, that way can try to fix the error. You said Admin Fields menu itself not showing.

So pls find the correct exception entries and post it here, that could be more helpful for me to fix.

Ok I’ll update to 4.0.3 and repost error logs. after updating to 4.0.3 I can no longer edit or create new admin fields because that option no longer exists

After updating to 4.0.3 the fields factory menu had 2 options – checkout fields and settings. I could not access the menu for admin fields and all admin fields that were added through fields factory disappeared from the admin product pages.

I’ve since rolled back to 3.0.4 to at least have some functionality. This is a live server and it is imperative that we list products for sale.

Pls go to your wp-admin page, after logged in, pls paste the above URL, and see if you can access the admin fields module. Prefix your site url.

This is a very rare issue, pls refer the following post for client denied by server configuration exception.

Thank you! Since we have a somewhat working live version, I’ll look into this after business hours when it has a reduced impact on our operations and let you know what I can find out.

Ok after updating to 4.0.3, deleting the old admin fields, then recreating them, I discovered that the custom fields would not display on the products page or in the database display plugin where they did in the past. Have you changed the API for this product since 3.0.4?

It would appear field names have been changed with the latest version.

Is there a way to change the field names in the latest version of this plugin?

@rayhunt0917 pls follow this reply. basically pls wait untill next Monday. that update will have the option for legacy field key generation.

Thanks! I will select notify on the post linked above. Wish I could supply more feedback, but as stated previously, I do not have access to a test server to experiment with the latest version and we need to use the best possible version for our uses on the live server.

@rayhunt0917 Admin menu not shown issue has been solved, pls update the plugin to V 4.0.5 and let me know if it solved.
