admin filter button goes to homepage

I’m trying out the plugin and want to show it to a client, but I’m having problems with the admin filter button. When I try to change the Admin filter dropdown to All Events (or anything else) it goes to the site homepage. I’ve tried disabling all the other plugins and changing to a default theme, changing the permalink definition and messing around with the htaccess file but the problem is still continuing. And I don’t see any javascript errors in the console. I’m running this on a WordPress multisite platform, if that makes a difference. Also I only have this problem for this plugin. I’d appreciate any ideas about how to resolve this, because I really like the plugin and would like to use it.
