Admin from a separate server

Hello,

Is it possible to have an instance of wordpress running on private LAN, so the wp-admin were only reached from inside while the whole public area (using balancing an more than one webnode) only serves the public?

I tested some, sharing the files and the databse from a unique backend, but I can’t get the “inside” wordpress saving posts (or objects) referenced with the public url.

In other words, having for example https://www.domain.com for the public side, I want to admin the blog from https://192.168.1.1/wp-admin …

Would it be possible?
