Admin Info Attached to Abandoned Carts

    We have been seeing an issue where the admin info is showing up as abandon carts even though the admin has not been adding products to the cart. In one particular case there is an abandoned cart with the admin info and then 20 minutes later there is an abandoned cart with the same product but with customer info. The admin account did not have an abandoned cart. The last time this happened we changed the password for the admin so I doubt the account is being hacked. Any idea how this is happening?

    Hi,

    From my understanding, do you mean that one cart has been abandoned as an Admin, but you (Admin) did not abandon it?

    Can you please let me know you had changed the quantity of the product in the Admin account or you had made any changes on cart page or checkout page?

    We are not sure that your account is hacked or not. But in our plugin, if abandoned cart of user is already present in the abandoned cart list and again if same user visit the site after “Cart abandoned cut off time” and he/she changes the cart content by adding new product or change the existing cart by changing the quantity and then leave the site then our plugin will update the status of existing cart from “Abandoned” to “Abandoned but new cart created after this” on abandoned order list.

    And then our plugin will create the new cart as “Abandoned” with new abandoned order id. I hope this information will help you.

    Correct, me as the admin did not abandoned the cart but it showed up in the list as if the admin did. This happened a few days ago and thought maybe there was a hack so we changed the password. Then after changing the password another cart being shown as abandoned by the admin showed up in the list. This all happened after updating WooCommerce to the latest version 3.3.

    Hi,

    I have tried to replicate the issue multiple times at our end. I have checked the issue with PHP 5.6.x and PHP 7.1 and latest version of WordPress and WooCommerce. But I am unable to replicate the same.

    Can you kindly create the ticket on “support at tychesoftwares dot freshdesk dot com” ticketing system? So, we can try to fix this on your website.
