So, this is probably a very embarrassing problem, but it is a problem I have none the less.

I’m the admin of a wordpress blog we use at work. Cooper Technologies. Here is the blog:
    https://www.coopertechnologies.co.uk/blog/

Only issue is, when I go to log into, it I get the following error:

ERROR: Login failed because your IP address has been blocked. Please contact the administrator.

Now this is both infuriating and amusing. Infuriating for the obvious reason, I can’t get on and update the blog, and amusing because I am the Admin, and I don’t remember blocking this IP address.

    Here’s the IP address: 81.149.62.146 (which I didn’t block)

So, how do I fix this so that I can get back to updating the blog??

How do you block the addresses? Through a plugin?

I have no idea. I didn’t block any.
Which is why I’m so confused as it how this happened.

Have you contacted your hosting providers about this?

    We’re hosting the website ourselves.

We recently installed a new anti-virus, which has been incredibly over-zealous with other aspects of our work, is it possible that may be the problem?

Dunno, maybe do a string search on your project for that error message to see how its generated

Otherwise it may not be related to WordPress level

How would I do one of them??

Your IDE probably has a string search built in

    Was a plugin issues.

Went into the FTP and disabled the all. Could login fine so looking through plugins now.

May have been the security plugin we used… have to look into it.
