Admin keeps going to 404

Anytime I update a post, add an image…..go to plugins….anything, the admin dashboard reverts to a 404.
My host did deactivate one default feature (Extra Web Security) in Wordfence hoping this would solve the problem, but it didn’t.
Today I deactivated Wordfence entirely and the 404 problem disappeared, so it must be Wordfence. Could it be another Wordfence setting or something to do with the settings connected with Cloudflare which I use?
